3. How Information Is Collected
We collect information:
- Directly from you when you enter information, upload content, complete a scan, send a message, make a purchase, or contact support.
- Automatically when you use Dr.AI, such as feature activity, timestamps, device details, and diagnostics.
- From authentication, app-store, purchase-management, and other service providers when needed to confirm sign-in or purchases.
- From another user when they enter your referral code or participate in a referral feature.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Operate scans, check-ins, AI consultations, previews, goals, streaks, progress tracking, referrals, and other App features.
- Personalize content based on the details and goals you provide.
- Process AI requests and return generated outputs.
- Maintain your account, sync information, verify purchases, add or deduct credits, and prevent duplicate transactions.
- Send requested reminders, verification messages, service notices, and support communications.
- Detect fraud, abuse, security threats, technical failures, and violations of our Terms.
- Improve reliability, performance, safety, and the overall user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
We do not sell your personal information. Dr.AI does not use third-party advertising networks to show personalized ads.
5. AI Processing
Dr.AI uses third-party AI service providers, including OpenAI, to process prompts and content needed to generate scans, responses, plans, previews, summaries, and other AI-powered outputs.
Depending on the feature, information sent for processing may include text, images, conversation context, goal information, and related instructions. We limit the information sent to what is reasonably needed to provide the requested feature.
AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your circumstances. They are provided for informational purposes and should not be treated as professional medical advice.
7. Device Permissions
Dr.AI may request access to:
- Camera: capture photos or videos for scans, previews, and check-ins.
- Photos or media library: select and upload existing content.
- Microphone: record voice input when you choose to use a voice feature.
- Notifications: deliver reminders, verification notices, and important App updates.
You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Denying a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
8. Purchases, Credits, and Referrals
Dr.AI may offer one-time purchases of digital credits. Apple or Google processes the payment, while Dr.AI and RevenueCat receive purchase and entitlement information needed to deliver the credits.
Referral and promotional features may record referral codes, qualifying credit use, rewards, and related account identifiers so rewards can be issued and abuse can be prevented.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide Dr.AI, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud, and meet legal or accounting requirements.
You can initiate account deletion from the App’s account settings or use our account deletion page. Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated user data, including stored profile information, goals, scans, uploaded media, chats, and health logs.
Deletion requests are generally completed within 30 days. Some limited records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, transaction records, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or enforcing our Terms. Residual copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until those backups are overwritten.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your account and associated information.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing.
- Receive a portable copy of certain information where applicable.
- Ask questions or challenge our privacy practices.
You may also disable notifications and revoke camera, photo, or microphone permissions through your device settings. Withdrawing consent or deleting information may limit or disable some App features.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. These measures may include encrypted transmission, access controls, authentication controls, logging, and cloud-platform security features.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children’s Privacy
Dr.AI is not intended for children under 13. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
13. International Processing
Dr.AI and its service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live. When information is processed outside your jurisdiction, it may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement authorities, or regulators under local law.
